Thanks to the support of the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, we are implementing the project Digitalization of processes in the company PEŠEK Machinery s.r.o. with the registration number CZ.01.4.04/0.0/0.0/21_376/0027609, whose budget amounts to CZK 2,568,799.50 excluding VAT, while our company received a 40% subsidy of CZK 1,027,519.80.
The project Digitalization of Pešek Machinery s.r.o. primarily addresses the existing issue of enormous time consumption, especially of design and related TPV processes, which is reflected in all phases of the product life cycle, from the preparation of quotations, development of equipment, preparation of documents for production, production planning, production, assembly and shipment to the customer to maintenance and service tasks. Currently, too many routine activities are identified in the enterprise as being handled by employees, which are also at high risk of human error.
In addition, in order to remain competitive, Pešek Machinery s.r.o. needs to continuously innovate its existing products and develop new, often more complex mechanical systems, which cannot be done without appropriate software equipment that enables modelling and simulation of the behaviour of these systems even at the development stage, since the construction of a physical prototype is not feasible in piece production.
Because of the nature of the company's products (size, complexity), the problem of difficult-to-imagine human-machine and machine-machine interactions often arises as well. This manifests itself both during the development of the equipment, when, for example, machine kinematics, ergonomics, material flow or production line tact are addressed, but also in the area of marketing and pre-sales activities, when a potential customer would appreciate the opportunity to become familiar with the machine parameters in detail in the context of their operation.
Another issue addressed by the project is the incompleteness and inconsistency in HR processes, especially in the pre-boarding and on-boarding phase. A new job applicant or employee receives information from many sources, there is no standardised plan for basic training and the process of employee adaptation is often unnecessarily long.
The operation of the above-mentioned software tools is related to the need for an adequate IT structure and HW equipment.
Our company PEŠEK Machinery s.r.o. greatly appreciates this assistance from the European Union and thanks it for its support in its innovation efforts.
